Welcome to The Local Noticeboard
Promoting & facilitating the provision & use of local services & resources.
The Local Noticeboard will
cease operating Sept.13.
Whilst there is a dedicated core of users, overall the site has insufficient activity to make it an effective means of re-homing items or to allow it the potential to bring in revenue from local businesses
I thank you all for your support, it has been a fun & interesting enterprise
What is it offering you?
A tool for making contact with the person local to you who
is offering what you are looking for
or wants what you have available
That might be -
....a service ...
....or a specific item ...
Who is it for?
Individuals & Local Businesses
Central area of focus, Tarland, Aboyne, Torphins
and villages
- Lumphanan, Knicardine ONeil, Dinnet, Logie Coldstone, Finzean & Strachan
Including Ballater, Banchory, Alford & Strathdon Villages as "Nearby"
Donations by individuals & local businesses have financed operation for the past 2 months
with thanks to (Click on for their posted details)
Stay Cheeky (Novel) ; Family History Research Service; Aboyne Plumbing & Heating; Markham & Co Accountants; Paterson Stoves & Chimney Sweep
Debut Marketing & Ordie Bakery self catering Cottage; George Anderson Ltd Joiner (Torphins); River Fellowship; Jm Joinery (Banchory); Sparkles Beauty mobile service
Hereafter the site is dependent on the income it generates for itself to pay costs of
promotion & development.
Placing Postings on The Local Noticeboard is free.
To charge a set fee for postings would be detrimental to the enterprise aims
& almost certainly be a step into decline
Local Businesses who come on site at this phase are offered
3 months free posting, after which there may be a small charge
if you wish to remain on site until the end of the year.
